Pediatric Vision Exams

Some studies suggest as many as a quarter of all school-aged children are experiencing vision problems, whether that’s near or farsightedness, myopia, astigmatism or another eye disease. Vision problems can have a direct effect on their grades and the quality of their education. These problems might cause a child to:

Don’t They Perform Vision Screenings at School?



If your child’s school does perform vision screenings – and not all of them are performing screenings currently – they are generally only testing visual acuity. They don’t detect every condition that might be negatively affecting your child’s educational outcomes.
